Scope of use

WatchTranslate provides subtitle recognition and translation for the Local Player and supported sites (including YouTube, X, and other video platforms). You must have the right to watch and process the content you submit; the service does not grant access to videos and does not bypass any platform's login, payment, or other access controls.

Subtitle quality

Subtitles are produced by automatic recognition and translation and may contain errors or timing drift. They are for reference only and cannot replace professional translation or judgment. Subtitle generation may fail when the network, video platforms, or third-party services are unavailable; failed processing is not charged, while segments without speech are billed by the minute like any other processed segment.

Plans & credits

Free includes a one-time grant of 20 credits. Paid plans and billing periods follow the pricing page and the payment confirmation page. AI generation is metered at 1 credit per minute and original-subtitle translation at 0.2 credits per minute, charged by the minute for every segment the service actually processes (including segments with no speech); failed processing is not charged, and cache reuse is free. Promotional discounts no longer apply to new purchases; a discount already granted to a subscription stays in effect while the subscription continues (including when you voluntarily switch to a plan on the current price list), even if the campaign ends.

Subscriptions renew automatically for the chosen monthly or annual period. Plan credits refresh monthly and do not roll over; annual plans are also granted monthly. Unused granted credits are kept. Anyone can buy a 100-point add-on pack ($1.29) or a 300-point add-on pack ($3.49) with no subscription required; add-on points are valid for 90 days from purchase.

Changes, cancellation & refunds

You can manage your subscription, payment method, and invoices from the account page. Upgrades show the amount due on the payment confirmation page; after payment, the prorated difference for the current entitlement month is charged. Downgrades and switching from annual to monthly take effect at the end of the current paid period. After cancelling renewal, paid entitlements remain until the end of the period.

For refund requests contact [email protected]. After a full refund is confirmed, the corresponding unused entitlements are reclaimed and the related subscription ends; historical usage records are kept. Partial refunds are not automatically prorated into subtitle credits. Entitlements may be frozen during a payment dispute; resolved disputes restore entitlements based on the actual payment status and validity period.
